My first painting of my Senior year. (2005)
I wanted to do something dark, and rather vampiric.... So I decided to take this scenario: Vampires are creatures of night, and for all their elegance and refinement, they can never conceal their basic instincts to feed and kill. It is a never ending thirst. Aristocracy can never hide it. Even on the stage of Life, they have a part to play. And what better thing to serve as both subject and inspiration for such a theme than Beast of Blood by Malice Mizer? (Still one of my favorite badass 'vampire' songs.) Enjoy. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
