Artist's Comments

My first painting of my Senior year. (2005)

I wanted to do something dark, and rather vampiric....
So I decided to take this scenario:
Vampires are creatures of night, and for all their elegance and refinement, they can never conceal their basic instincts to feed and kill.
It is a never ending thirst.
Aristocracy can never hide it.
Even on the stage of Life, they have a part to play.

And what better thing to serve as both subject and inspiration for such a theme than Beast of Blood by Malice Mizer?
(Still one of my favorite badass 'vampire' songs.)

Enjoy.
